Using a standard 442 formation I will give you my personal team of the season so far. Will keep players to their original positions where possible but some may be slightly off to get them in. Let me know what you think down below in the comments or reply to my post of Facebook after reading!
GK. Nick Pope

Now I know what you’re thinking, statistic wise he has been nowhere near the best keeper in the league this year, being only joint fifth on the clean sheets list with 8 in 23 games. No question about it that keepers like Martinez of Aston Villa and of course Ederson of Man City are up there but this season are both playing in very good sides with pretty decent defences. However Burnley are struggling this season and even though picking up form a little in the last few months were at one point looking like relegation contenders and that still isn’t of the cards yet. Therefore what the Burnley and (hopefully) England number 1 has been doing for them is outrageous being a brick wall in goal for them and single handily keeping them in some important games this season.
RB. Aaron Wan-Bissaka

It pains me not to be putting Trent Alexander Arnold in this spot but at the moment at least I don’t think he deserves it after being very shaky defensively and not creating as much as normal either. However Wan-Bissaka whilst also not being the most creative or attacking right back the league has is slowly improving, with 2 goals and two assists from right back this season he is starting to get involved in the action a lot more. Defending is really where he shines though as he is number 1 for tackles in the league this season with 69 in 22 appearances and with United still not being as secure at the back as they possibly should be he is a vital part of that back four.
CB’s. John Stones and Ruben Dias

Man City have been a force again this season and look like they are on course for another Premier League title. As much as the attacking and creative options the blues have is a huge reason of the success they have this season the big difference has been a reliable and sound defensive pairing. Ruben Dias was Man City’s latest attempt of filling the hole that Vincent Kompany left when he departed a few years back. However unlike some of his CB colleagues he’s been a huge success. With being so young and inexperienced he would of been thought of as a success even if he had to take time to adapt to the league but he has hit the ground running and been a proper leader at the back. John Stones on the other hand is someone we all know a lot about and up until this season a lot of people had written him off. However this season he has been outstanding and has shown us some of that potential he showed in his Everton and early England career.
LB. Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw is a story that even being a Liverpool fan, warms the heart. His career has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs but he finally looks like the finished article and is playing the best football of his career under Ole at the red devils. He’s got 5 assists in the league this year and even when United have been stumbling has been one of their most consistent performers. With the license to roam down the left hand side of the pitch he creates problems for a lot of teams with the runs and overlaps he makes. Man United are not quite there yet in terms of the title but when they are I would not be surprised if the former Southampton boy is the first team right back.
RM. Mohamed Salah

I mean, what else is left to say about Mo Salah. Ever since he came to the premier league is has kept getting better and better and this season in some ways is no different. Even with the reds stuttering in the league and currently in 6th place which is unheard of for this Liverpool side, he is still the leagues top scorer and is favourite to win it. He just consistently scores even when not playing well, with 17 this season which is 3 more than anyone else! He’s also got 3 assists this season and done his bit defensively too which all players do in a Jurgen Klopp system. Safe to say Liverpool would be a lot worse off without him.
CM. Bruno Fernandes

Not only is he in my team of the season so far, he could easily be the player of the season come may if he carries on. Even with United probably being out of the race for the title now, they definitely would not of been anywhere near it without Bruno Fernandes. Ever since he joined last January he has been one of if not the best players in the league and this season is no different. With 14 goals and 9 assists he has carried this United team at times to points they otherwise might have not got. If he stays in Manchester I can see him becoming captain sooner rather than later and who knows how good he could get, not like they’ve ever had any other Portuguese players who’ve gone on to be world class is it…
CM. Rodri

Somehow even with being one of Manchester City’s most consistent and arguably important players Rodri still goes very much under the radar. With a team of attacking stars it is probably hard for him to stand out but nobody does their job better for City than the Spanish international. He was brought in to try and fill the Fernandinho role who was such a great servant and player for the club and Rodri has taken to it like a fish in water. He’s made the most passes in the league out of anyone and managed to grab a goal and a assist in a team where his job is to patrol the midfield and help out defensively. Criminally underrated and could be on Madrids radar.
LM. Jack Grealish

Just going to start of by saying, I love Jack Grealish. Maybe not with some of the stupid stuff he’s done off the pitch but as a footballer he’s a joy to watch. He’s Aston Villa through and through and that shows when he puts on the claret shirt. Villa have be flying this season and its not down to just Grealish but he is their main man. With 6 goals and 10 assists this season in 22 games for a massively over achieving in some ways side, he has become one of the leagues most exciting players and on the radar of most big clubs around Europe. However he should stay exactly where he is as he is adored and loved by the villa fans and could make himself a Aston Villa legend if he isn’t one already.
ST. Harry Kane

Harry Kane was always known as goal scorer but this season he has become not only that but a playmaker too. Injuries aside Kane is still one of the best players in Europe in my opinion and on his day can change any game in his favour. Having scored 13 goals and already registering 11 assists as well he has got the most goal involvements in the league even with being injured for a while. Spurs are a significantly worse side without him and Mourihno and the club need to do everything in their power to keep him for the seasons to come.
ST. Patrick Bamford

If you would of told me in August last year I would be putting Patrick Bamford in a Premier League team of the season so far then I would of laughed in your face, but here I am. Leeds have been the most entertaining side to watch this year bar none. In victory or defeat they always entertain and as much as they do need to change a little if they are to solidify a premier league place for the next decade right now they are a joy to watch. Bielsa is a genius and he’s turned Bamford from premier league reject to premier league goal scorer. With 12 goals and 5 assists for Leeds this season he has been a huge part of the success they’ve had and will need to continue to score to keep them moving in the right direction.
